Three reasons why God isolate the chosen ones. Isolation means different things to different people in different situations. However, according to the Bible, God isolate people to set them apart. I know that many people have their own understanding of the mystery, or the law, of isolation. Let me get the elephant out of the room: I mean isolation is not loneliness. Loneliness is not isolation. These are two different things.
You can be surrounded by people and still feel lonely. Therefore, loneliness is not isolation. Just because you are lonely doesn’t mean God is isolating you, or that God has isolated you. Some of you are lonely for reasons that God is not part of, so I’m quickly going to break down for you—the reasons why God isolate people.
But since I brought this thing up, isolation is not loneliness. Let’s quickly talk about isolation a little bit. What is isolation according to the Bible? When you read the book of Genesis chapter 12, verses one to three, God calls Abraham, and he says I want you to come out of your father’s country. Please come out of your father’s nation. He then attaches a reason to why he’s calling Abraham out. In verse 2, he says, I want to bless you. I want to make out of you a great nation.
He goes further and says, “I want to make your name great.” Pay attention to what God says in verse 2. It then tells you and me that isolation is the mother of greatness. Great names are built in isolation, so isolation isn’t punishment that makes you feel like God is punishing you by isolating you.
If you are chosen, or one who God has called, I want you to pay attention to what I’m going to say because it will unlock what God has put in you and bring peace, even in the midst of confusion in your life.
1. God isolates you to prepare you
The first reason God isolates people is to prepare them, because isolation means being set apart, to be separated. So God separate people to prepare them. One thing about God is that God does not take chances. You cannot be used by God accidentally; God cannot use you without knowing he’s using you.
Hence, anybody that God is going to use, God will prepare that person, and that is because God cannot assign somebody to an assignment whom he himself has not prepared. I will give you a couple of scriptures so you guys will understand what I’m saying. Look at David’s life: he was anointed at 15 but became king at 30. Why?
Because during those 15 years, he wasn’t king; God was preparing him. And that is because if you are going to represent God, one way or the other, God has to make sure you are equipped and prepared. So isolation is a season of preparation. Every gift a person has has a birthdate. Let me break that down quickly: No one is born today and immediately knows what they are born for.
No one is born today and immediately knows why they are here. In isolation, God will reveal your gift. We call that the stage where your gift is birthed. So there are three stages, right? So the first stage is where your gift is birthed. This is where you become aware.
So isolation plays a very important role in you becoming aware of what you carry, so God has to prepare you. But for Him to do that, He has to separate you. It’s too deep. He has to prepare you. So I’m isolated not because God has rejected me. I’m isolated because God is preparing me.
2. He wants to capacitate the chosen one.
The second reason why God isolates the chosen ones is that He wants to capacitate the chosen one. One thing about God is. Whenever He calls men, He does not immediately commission them. He calls men; he qualifies men. He then commissions men. And in the calling, God capacitates the chosen ones.
And how does he do it? He does it by isolating the chosen one. So it is not a punishment, as I said; you are being capacitated. David was anointed. I said it, and I’ll say it again: at the age of 15, he became a king. At 30, what was he doing for those 15 years? He was being capacitated.
That’s why it was easy for him to look at Goliath and say, “Who is this uncircumcised Philistine?” because the man was capacitated behind the scenes. And when he showed up in public, he was ready. He knew who he was. He knew who his God was.
And when they asked him, ” How are you going to do this, he gave testimonies that nobody knows about. He says, ” While I was looking after my father’s sheep, the enemy came and took one of the sheep. When I went after the sheep, the Lord scattered the enemy and took back the sheep.
And another time, a lion took one of the sheep. And Zacchara scattered the lion and took the sheep back. These are testimonies and divine encounters nobody knows about, but he knows them.
So when God now capacitates the chosen ones. This is where they start having different encounters. I’ll give another example in Genesis 32. When you read verse 24, you realise that Jacob met with the Angel of the Lord. Rather, wrestled with the Angel of the Lord; he was alone. Jacob was not a lonely man. He had wives, servants and children. But when he had the encounter that he had, he was alone.
And that is because there are certain encounters you will never have as long as you are too much everywhere; as long as you are too much in the public, you will never have certain encounters.
God will isolate you so you can have certain encounters. That’s why we say, if you want to have Divine encounters, you must master the law and know the law of isolation. Once you understand the mystery of isolation, you will embrace that mystery.
God called Paul, and we know what happened to him in Acts 9, when he went blind. But remember, his name was Saul; when he met Jesus on his way to Damascus, his name was sore. Light hit his eyes, and he became blind.
For three days he was isolated. But when he came out, he was no longer blind; he was Paul. And that is because you can’t be isolated by God and come out the same when God takes you through that season. When you come out, you can’t come out the same.
God himself would have capacitated you. Because He knows what He put in you, you didn’t put in yourself. You didn’t choose yourself; He chose you. So God will give it the backing it needs, so that even when the challenges of life try to fight it, that which is inside of you will be able to stand the test of time and will be able to stand against anything that will come against it.
So you need to understand that It’s not that God is punishing you. it’s not that God is It’s not that God is hating you. Every great man in the Bible went through isolation.
What I’m about to say here quickly because I’m freestyling will blow your mind. It is in the season of incapacitation that God changes your appetite. You see, when God isolate men, men might have gone to isolation or to that season of isolation, to that room of isolation. Maybe you have certain desires or like certain things, but trust me, when you come out, you’ll be shocked that the places you used to go, you don’t go no anymore. The people they used to hang around with, they don’t hang around with no more.
And that is because, in the season of isolation, God works on your appetite. Yes, because if God wants to start his work in a man, God will change the appetite of the man who is chosen.
Imagine men saying I don’t want pizza, but I want what Michael eats. I don’t want Steak and potato; I want what Gabriel eats, and that only happens in isolation. In isolation, you develop an appetite you never had before you were isolated.
It is in isolation that you’re going to have encounters with God, so make sure that you are not the one fighting what God wants to start through you, because some of you are your own stumbling block.
God wants you here, but because of your desires, some of them, believe it or not, are selfish. You then reject. God’s call over your life. And it’s dangerous because some of you, when you reject God’s call over your life, you are not only costing yourself; you’re costing even those that will come after you.
Because sometimes when God works through you or when God starts something through you, it’s not so much about you, but it’s also so much about those that are coming after you. We don’t know Father Abraham, but we are called his seed. What would have happened if Abraham had rejected it when God said Come out?
3. God wants to elevate them
The third reason, and in this case the last, God isolates the chosen ones is to elevate them. I’ll repeat that: God isolates them to elevate them. So if God chooses you and isolates you, it’s because God wants to elevate you. Simple as that.
But understand this: isolation is for elevation, but elevation will never happen until you understand the revelation behind your isolation. I will say it in a way everyone will understand: when God isolates you, He wants to elevate you. But you cannot be elevated by God until you fully understand the revelation behind your isolation, because God wants to reveal certain things to you; the longer it takes you to understand why you’re being isolated, the longer you’ll stay isolated.
The longer it takes you to understand why you are being isolated, the longer you stay in isolation. But as soon as you get it, you’ll be elevated by God because you can’t go into isolation and come out this way.
So everybody that goes in there, when they come out, they come out with greatness. They come out on another level. We see it from the book of Genesis down to the Book of Revelation. At one point, in the book of Galatians, Paul says something very powerful. He says. Instead of meeting those who are apostles before him, he went to the desert of Arabia.
