If you have had any of these dreams, God is trying to send you an urgent message you need to pay attention to. Romans 1:20 tells us that God uses natural things to speak to us; now He gives them spiritual meaning, so don’t joke about these dreams when you have them.
1. When you see yourself naked in the dream
The meaning of this dream may vary depending on the context. As I said in Romans 1:20, God uses the physical experiences we see in our dreams and gives them spiritual meaning. So, nakedness in the dream can mean two things.
The first meaning is that you may be in a season of exposure. You may be in a season where you are having more people coming into your life as friends, and all of a sudden you see yourself naked in the dream. So, God may be telling you to hold back your secrets and be mindful of what you share with these people you see as friends. Be careful not to reveal your secrets to the wrong people, as it may lead to shame later.
The second meaning of this dream is that God is telling you to seek knowledge in the realm of the Spirit in your current season. Knowledge also means good, so nakedness in the dream can mean that God is about to bring you into a new season of breakthrough. But your level of knowledge does not match that blessing.
One thing you need to understand is that it is God’s responsibility to bring your blessing to you, but it is your own responsibility to sustain it with your knowledge. Hope you are getting my point? What I’m trying to say is that somebody can give you a billion now, and now it is your knowledge level that will help you spend that money very well, so that you can never be stranded in life again.
So you need to cover yourself with knowledge so you can avoid shame, because you know when you see things like this, most times we wake up and go into prayer. Oh God, every spirit of shame, I cancel you in Jesus’ name. Of course, very good prayers, but you need to understand. You need to sit down and decide what message this thing is trying to pass to me. Are you about to do something, and we want to lead you to shame?
Because when you begin to ask yourself these questions, you will be well prepared for what is to come. And that’s why you have shame. For example, you are about to get married, and you see yourself naked. Of course, you believe you have already been revealed to that this is your husband or your wife. But in this dream, you are shown that great shame awaits you in this marriage.
Then all you need t do after praying against it is to go and get books on marriage study to show yourself approved. Now, when you study, you are equipped and more knowledgeable. You see that those dreams will stop.
2. When you see yourself writing exams in your dreams and in that dream, you are not prepared.
This is a very prophetic dream. This means a breakthrough is coming. And God wants you to prepare for that breakthrough in that season. You may be wondering, what do I need to prepare for? Pay attention to that season you are in. Pay attention to the open doors that may come that season. In that season, pray before making sensitive decisions because it signals that breakthrough is coming.
The law is that after examination comes promotion, but if you’re not prepared for the exam, you stay in the same place. This is the key. Pay attention to what you emphasise; God will speak to your spirit. Do you know that sometimes in life, good things might be coming to you, and because you are not prepared, the door will be closed, and you will miss it.
Everybody has a life-changing moment. If you go to people who are very stranded now and ask them to tell you about their past, they will tell you that there were seasons when doors were opened, but they were not able to maximise them.
Not because they are bad people, but simply because they lack knowledge. Now you see why you should be intentional about asking God for knowledge. And mind you, one thing is having the knowledge, and another is enhancing it.
3. When you see snakes in the dream.
Snakes speak of deception and manipulation. Which craft attacks. This is God wanting you to be careful about your environment. Genesis chapter 3, verse one, says: Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the white animals.
You see what we said about the serpent. So if you’re in a season where you’re about to make a very difficult decision, and you sleep at night and have that dream, know that God wants you to rise and pray: Any force trying to pervert this decision I’m about to make, I cancel it in the name of Jesus.
God may be using that dream to help you see that the people offering you that deal are manipulative. If you see yourself in the dream and there are many snakes around, God is saying manipulative people surround you. Be careful with the people around you.
You see that season when doors are opening; double-check and make sure of any deal. When you agree to anything, be careful about deception and manipulative people.
4. You see yourself in your old schools or old house.
You may be done with primary school. You see yourself back in primary school or secondary school. Please pay attention. School in the spirit symbolises learning. So see yourself back in the school that you have left before. Is God telling you not to ignore the past mistakes that have taught you before? Because in that season, something is trying to cause you to repeat a past mistake.
Maybe you went through something in the past that was supposed to teach you a lesson you should have learned. Now you want to repeat that mistake, and the Spirit of God begins to show you the revelations.
Maybe, for example, somebody broke your heart in a relationship. Now somebody else is coming, and they look all good, like they can’t hurt a fly. And you have that dream God is telling you. Learn from your past relationship. Learn from your past mistakes. Of course, you may wake up in the past; it will be about something else. I’m just giving you a map on how to navigate it.
Check Proverbs 26:11. So there are times when God will prevent you from going back to those past mistakes.
Now, the second context of this dream. Sometimes God is telling you that he’s been trying to teach you a lesson. So you will need to ask yourself, God, what are you trying to teach me? Look at that season. Most times, it’s linked to someone about to repeat a past mistake. You have gone through betrayal. You have gone to heartbreak. You have gone through seasons in your life. Now you want that season
to repeat itself. God is giving you a signal. That is, you must be highly discerning.
Learn to pray. Give yourself to pray. To heighten your spiritual senses. Just ask God to help you. God, help me not to repeat past mistakes.
5. When you see yourself missing a bus or your flight in the dream.
This dream is God telling you that you need to work with divine timing. Meaning, if you are currently delaying a decision you are about to make, God is telling you to make it. Make that decision before the bus moves or before the flight takes off.
But it can actually mean a different thing because, of course, emotion matters. So you can wake up from that dream, and God is telling you, don’t take the flight today, don’t take the bus today, but in order. Context: God is telling you, you need to act fast so you don’t miss the bus.
As I said, pay attention to the emotional feedback you have from that trip.
6. When you see yourself being chased in the dream by masquerades.
This dream is telling you about life and family patterns you need to deal with, and the powers that took great people in your family. They are trying to come for you. But you know we have assurance in Christ, and these forces cannot stop us because they masquerade. Traditional forces, blood man powers and others, so that you can rise and contend, and you begin to prepare yourself so that what stopped all this cannot stop you.
You need to shut down these operations. Don’t forget what the Bible said. He has given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and he said nothing will harm you. Meaning, equip yourself well and don’t have the mentality that they will come after you. Nothing will harm you; stand on the word of God, and believe in the integrity of Scripture.
These are like enemies, so you should rise, and you walk against them. Satan is very good at masquerading himself. Sometimes you feel a problem is coming from a direction, but there’s an enemy behind the scenes. It is coming from another direction. Pay attention to the dream’s context.
