Welcome to Part 5, the final part of our series on 20 herbs associated with spiritual protection and traditional beliefs about witchcraft. In the previous parts, we explored the spiritual significance of these herbs. Now, we bring the series together by looking at traditional practices, the importance of prayer, and the need for wisdom and discernment. Remember that herbs are not a substitute for faith, practical safety, or appropriate medical care.
Now that you have learned all 20 herbs, we will shift into how to use them in real life
Application Section
How to boil bone, mix, spray and prepare your home and spirit with these divine tools. Let us move into activation. It is time to use what you have learned. Now that you understand the power behind these 20 herbs, it is time to put them to use.
Knowledge without application leads to spiritual stagnation. These herbs were not given to us to admire or memorize. They were given to be used. Each has its role, its movement and its effect, but none work automatically. You must apply them with faith, intention and spiritual Authority.
First, spiritually prepare the herb. Before you use any of these, whether basil, hyssop, rue, or cinnamon, pray over it, lay hands on it, and dedicate it to divine use. Say out loud that this herb is no longer ordinary; declare it is now an instrument of cleansing, protection, revelation or restoration in your home.
This simple act activates its spiritual purpose; we often pray over items to charge them, and we pray over these herbs to bless and empower them. Burning is one of the most effective methods, especially for cleansing the atmosphere and driving out spirits. Suppose you are using sage, Bay leaves, cloves, Rosemary or camphor. Burn them in a heat-proof container and let the smoke fill the room’s corners.
Walk through your home and speak as you go. Declare that every evil presence must leave. That no demon, no curse, no negative energy is welcome anymore. As the smoke rises, it represents your authority going into the unseen.
You do not need to shout. Speak with faith and consistency. Burning once is good, but burning daily for a few days, especially during prayer and fasting seasons. Intensifies the spiritual atmosphere. And flushes out hidden forces.
Boiling is perfect when you want to cleanse objects, mop floors, pour over thresholds, or use in spiritual baths. He saw one wood, eucalyptus, mint, onion skins and fennel work well for this. After boiling, let the water cool. Then use it as a spiritual wash for your house: pour it on the doorstep, near windows and in the corners of rooms and use it for spiritual baths. Soak it while praying out loud and rejecting every curse, blockage or demonic attachment.
I have seen people become free from torment that has lasted for several years just by doing 7 days of spiritual washing with the right herbs and deep prayer. Sometimes the breakthrough comes not because you shouted louder, but because you cleanse deeper.
Anointing with oils is also powerful. You can mix powdered herbs into your normal anointing oil or infuse oils with them. Cinnamon, lavender, myrrh, frankincense and thyme are excellent for this. You can anoint your doors, pillow, car, or even phone.
Do not think of this as fringe. Evil spirits don’t just attack 2 dreams; they can manipulate 2 conversations, images and objects. When you are anointed with herb-infused oil, you are declaring every surface covered, every doorway guarded, and every interaction sanctified. It is not paranoia; it is spiritual awareness.
Witches anoint things too. But for evil, you are anointing with purpose backed by heaven. Planting or storing herbs around your space is a long-term strategy. Rue, garlic, basil and lemongrass are ideal to place near windows, behind doors or in open containers.
These herbs emit an energy that repels attacks; a home that constantly smells of divine herbs becomes a home spirits fear to enter. Some people keep dry bundles tied together and hidden in closets or bags.
They work best during spiritually sensitive times: early morning, midnight hours, or major life shifts.
If you are about to move house, start a new job, give birth, or confront a toxic relationship, use the herbs to cover yourself. Boil water with eucalyptus and garlic before a big confrontation. Burn frankincense and sage the night before you move into a new place.
Clean your shoes with cloves and mint water before you step into unfamiliar territory. Let everything you do be spiritually prepared. The physical and the spiritual are not separate. What you do with your hands can influence what happens in the spirit realm. Make it part of your routine.
Spiritual hygiene matters as much as physical hygiene. You do not wait until you are sick to shower. So do not wait until demons attack to cleanse your home.
Set a weekly or monthly cleansing ritual. Choose a day to fast, pray and walk through your home, reclaiming every corner. Play worship music. Anoint your doorposts, sweep and mop with intentionality, light a candle and sit in silence afterwards to feel the shift.
One thing you should always have in mind is that you have the authority in your mouth and the tools in your hands. Involve your children and family where possible. Teach them early. Let them see you pray over basil water before cleaning the kitchen. Let them smell the eucalyptus and understand why you use it.
Let them hear you declare peace while burning lavender in the living room. Create a culture of spiritual awareness. The enemy wants a home they can easily have access to spiritually, but when your household becomes spiritually trained, even the children become warriors.
Always close every session with Thanksgiving after using your herbs, whether burning, boiling or anointing. Thank God. Speak into your atmosphere. Declare that peace is restored. This protection is active.
Let us now step into discernment
Yes, because even with all these tools, you should already know that not everything is what it seems. Not everything is what it seems. The next part of this journey will show how witches twist herbs, how to spot counterfeit spiritual gifts, and how to stay protected long term. Keep reading.
The enemy will not act like what is coming next. Now let me warn you: just because a herb is spiritual. Mean every form of it is safe. Not everything sold in markets or labelled natural carries light, and that doesn’t mean these herbs do either. And many of them have started packaging cursed herbs, oils and mixtures disguised as spiritual tools. Some of these are mixed with blood, buried before selling, or spoken over with dark incantations before they reach your hands.
That is why discernment is not optional. If you don’t pray over what you buy, you are leaving the door open. Always pray over any herb, no matter where it comes from; don’t assume it is pure just because it looks clean or comes from a trusted vendor. The spiritual realm does not move by appearances; it moves by intention. So be intentional.
Before using any help in your home or on your body, dedicate it in prayer. Speak power over it. And ask for divine covering. That is what activates his protection. Some believers are unknowingly using cured oils, dream pillows, or even herbal soaps that have been spiritually polluted. They wonder why their dreams have become darker, why confusion keeps entering their home, or why their finances keep drying up.
I once met a woman who bought spiritual protection oil from a street vendor. She used it faithfully, but even then, nothing changed. The problems even worsened.
Only when she stopped using the oil and began praying with natural garlic and Bay leaves were her peace and happiness restored.
Not every spiritual item is holy. That is the danger. The enemy hides behind the appearance of light to plant confusion in your home.
That is why you must test everything. Another common deception is spiritual laziness disguised as faith. Many people think just placing a herb in the corner of your room will protect them. Without prayer, without cleansing, without dedication. They burn sage, but do not speak.
You must do all of these together, because they work in harmony. When you cleanse your home, you also have to cleanse your soul too, because when both align, breakthrough follows. But if you focus only on the physical and ignore the spiritual, you remain exposed. Also, be careful who gives you herbs. The enemy knows how to turn kindness from your friend against you.
That blessing back from someone you barely trust, the prayer oil mailed to you from an anonymous sender, the free herbs left on your doorstep- be spiritually awake. Witches have become clever.
They don’t always attack with nightmares or spells. Sometimes they send you a gift, a well-packaged seed of spiritual destruction and the moment you bring it inside and use it without discernment, it affects your atmosphere. It changes your energy, weakens your prayer life and causes struggles. Pay attention to the shift.
You may not see the hand that sent it; one thing you should always bear in mind is that the spirit behind it will always leave a trace. That is how you know discernment is not suspicion; it is spiritual clarity. Fake spiritual influences are also on the rise. They are teaching half-truths.
They teach people to use herbs with no prayer. Be careful who you learn from, even on platforms like this. Not everyone speaking about herbs is working with God.
If someone is teaching you to cleanse but never teaches you to pray, to burn but never to speak the name of God, to anoint but never to mention the Holy Spirit, walk away. That is not deliverance; that is deception. And the more you listen, the more you fall into spiritual confusion.
Protect your ears and your soul. Herbs are not a substitute for intimacy with God, and do not let anyone deceive you on that. Do not trust Bay leaves more than you trust your spiritual discernment. Do not wait for the smell of lavender to bring peace when you have not dealt with the trauma in your spirit.
The herb clears the atmosphere, but only the spirit of God heals the heart. Never confuse the 2. They walk together.
In this final part, we bring together the 20 herbs discussed throughout the series and explore their place in traditional spiritual practices. While some people use herbs as symbols of cleansing, peace, and protection, there is no reliable evidence that herbs can repel witchcraft or guarantee spiritual protection. For Christians, prayer, biblical wisdom, discernment, and trust in God remain central. Use herbs safely, avoid practices that put your health at risk, and never allow fear or suspicion to control your life. You can read the part 4 here.
