In my last post, I wrote about meditation, and today I want to bring sleep and meditation together to make you understand how powerful both of them can be when combined and practised correctly, and also how you can use them to transform your life completely. I was able to explain and break down meditation so that everyone can understand it and also know how to apply it to achieve better results. You can read it here if you have not.

And so that brings me to today’s topic, which is a continuation of my previous post on meditation. After reading this post today, you will understand the reason it seems that you have been stagnant in life. You will know why it looks like things have not been moving well for you. I know you will be wondering why some people you know are always making headways and living the life of their dreams, while you keep getting stuck and stagnating in one place. Don’t worry, today I will break it all down to you and teach you the way out. First of all, let’s look into sleep and meditation and understand what they can do when combined.

Well, at this point, I assume that you already understand what meditation is all about because I took time to explain it very well in my previous post. Let me also point out that I mentioned you can meditate while lying down on your bed. I said this while trying to explain in detail that meditation does not have to be only when you sit down, fold your legs, raise your palms and join them together, as shown in the meditation posture image on the internet.

You can lie down on your bed, maybe when it is already your bedtime, have a meditation and then sleep off while on it. This is called sleep and Meditation put together. And guess what, that peaceful and excellent exercise does wonders. You only have to close your eyes while waiting to doze off to sleep. But while your eyes are closed, now is the time to begin visualising and allow your imagination to run wild. Continue to replay and hold on to those beautiful dreams and moments you have been thinking of.

This will calm your nerves and send a message to your brain that your body is in a happy, peaceful, and calm condition. It will get your brain so relaxed, and then you’ll fall asleep. Do not forget to breathe. And you know another remarkable outcome of this? All those images you have been visualising in your mind will soon begin to manifest in real life. And you will then witness that incredible power of sleep and meditation.

Why People Find It So Difficult To Practice Sleep and Meditation

The noisy world and chaotic environment we find ourselves in today make it so difficult for people to lie on their beds peacefully at night and have a good sleep. Some hardly sleep at all in the night, but when the day breaks and you ask them, How was your night? They will respond, “It was fine, and yours?” But they know within them that they were struggling all through the night to sleep.

Now this is why I am talking about sleep and meditation. If you have been going through this problem, trust me, you are not alone. Many people are also going through it, so do not think it is only you. But I have some good news for you. Do you know you can heal from this nightly struggle of yours and find peace again when you are set to sleep off? That is what meditation before sleep can do for you. Everything is not about sleeping pills and medication. Most times, you have to switch in and try some natural remedies.

Though I can tell you that it is not always easy, but trust me when I say it works like a miracle. And this now brings me to letting you know some factors you must consider to have a good sleep and meditation exercise. And then watch how things will begin to move in your favour.

Stop Taking Things Too Seriously

Sometimes, we fail to realise that no matter how much we try to control things we encounter in our daily lives, we can never turn back the hands of time. A lot goes on in our lives every day that we can only manage, but will never have total control of them. So overthinking it will do you no good. Learn to ignore some things and watch how you will begin to have inner peace.

You’re being too serious about a particular issue, which will not affect the outcome. I am not saying you should not do the best you can to redeem or salvage the situation; all I’m saying is that you can do this while remaining calm and without putting unnecessary pressure on yourself. If not, each time you lie down on your bed at night to sleep, it will turn into a bed struggle, and even sleep and meditation will not be that easy for you.

Understand that Whatever Would Be Would Be

Now this is why I mentioned earlier that these are factors you must consider if you want to practice sleep and meditation and have them work for you. Some years ago, I used to doubt that popular saying that whatever would be would be. I used to see it as the slogan for lazy people. But honestly, as I grow older, I can tell you for sure that it is true, so true that even your effort to facilitate or make it happen so fast can only block or even delay it. Please don’t doubt this, I am writing from a first-hand experience.

I have seen people who were too ambitious about achieving their goals stay for years without completing them. At the same time, I have seen those who do not take it too seriously and still achieve their long-term goals without over-stressing themselves. You only do your best even against all odds, but doing your best is not supposed to lead you to anxiety and so much pressure, which will now lead you into a situation where you can no longer have a peaceful sleep at night. Some people can not sleep at night without taking a substance that will force them into sleep.

Understand That Peace Of Mind Attracts Wealth And abundance

You should prioritise calming your mind at all times and putting it to rest, especially at bedtime. It will help you to have a meditation, which will lead you to a peaceful night’s rest.

Now this is so true because success and progress hate chaotic atmospheres and environments so much, haven’t you noticed that the banking hall is always calm and peaceful? Money likes to stay in a quiet environment, which is the simple truth. Maybe you know some people who are very troublesome but reach. Trust me, it’s a different situation, that person may be troublesome outwardly but very peaceful and calm inwardly. Now you see the difference? Of course I believe you have come across some men who are so disturbing and troublesome at their working place, but when they get back home, they become so sweet and gentle to their wives and kids.

Learn to accept the things you cannot change. Life is not that hard, and don’t make it harder for yourself. I am not in any way saying that you should not work hard enough, nor am I advising you not to do your best. You should always take it easy, take life easy, and wait for your time while doing the best you can. Trust me, you are still going to reach there in just a matter of time. Do not forget that slow and steady wins the race.
